Joey (MN) [more info]

Name: Joey DOB: 4/4/05 Weight: approximately 10.5 pounds Adoption Donation: $125 Foster Location: Redwood Falls, Minnesota As an all volunteer rescue organization, please allow us up to 48 hours to respond to your inquiries and applications. We will answer as quickly as we can! We do allow out of state adoptions and will assist with transport whenever possible! BACKGROUND: Joey was rescued by Luv A Chin from his life of living at a commercial kennel INFORMATION:Joey is such a little cutie-pie. He has a big fur coat and a funny little tongue that hands out to the side and just adds to his charm. He loves having his tummy rubbed and will flip over when he sees me coming. He gets along well with all the other little dogs at his foster home, the only time he gets a little "attitude" is if one of the others tries to take over his spot when he is on his sleeping pillow. Joey loves going out in the fenced yard and is working on his house manners. I think sweet Joey would love a forever home that is kind of quiet like he is and has other small dogs for companions. HEALTH:Joey is neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on all his required vaccinations. He has also had a recent dental and has been heart worm tested. If you have any questions, please contact Joanne at colvin@means.net . BACKGROUND: Blazy was rescued from kennel life and is now being fostered in a Minnesota home. INFORMATION: Hi! My name is Blazy and my foster mom says I am a thinker. I don't know what that means but I do like to sit and study things carefully before I decide what I am going to do. She also says I am pretty smart because I caught on to this house-dog thing pretty quick. Recently I learned it is OK to ask for attention and that toys are for playing with and running in the fenced yard is pretty fun! I am not real fond of a leash, foster mom says I turn into a boat anchor. For some reason I LOVE horses, they makes me very excited & happy. Other than that I am a very quiet, serious kind of gal who finally has learned that laps are for napping. Can I try yours out? She is in foster care in SW Minnesota INFORMATION: Ms Wendi is a very pretty girl with a huge coat. She has been in her foster home since late march and is doing very well. She is a very confident girl and is slightly alpha. She gets along well with others but seems to think she is the "queen bee". She has done well learning about house manners and uses potty pads inside and also goes out and enjoys exploring in the fenced yard. Wendi's coat will need maintenance if kept long but it is so pretty... but she'd probably look darn cute in a puppy cut too. I'm not sure how she would do with cats, she seems awfully interested in them when she has seen them through a window. Wendi would love to be the "Queen" of her new forever home, could it be yours? We will answer as quickly as we can! We do allow out of state adoptions and will assist with transport whenever possible! BACKGROUND: Mindy came from a commercial breeder that did not give the dogs any socialization so therefore they have been some of the most afraid dogs we have rescued. Mindy is in a foster home in Minnesota with several other small dogs. INFORMATION: Mindy Soo is a darling little Japanese Chin who is trying to adapt to living the way all dogs deserve to live. She spent the first six years with very little socialization so everything is new to her. She is making progress but it is going to take a lot of time and patience while she learns she can trust. Mindy does like quiet affection but still runs when you walk by her as if she is afraid you might step on her. Her forever home needs to be a very patient one, I think she would do best in a quiet one or two person home. I do not think she would do well with children as she will probably always be a little nervous. She likes to go outside in a fenced yard and also is good about using potty pads in the house. Mindy Soo would like to share her forever home with one or two small dogs for canine companionship, she loves playing and sleeping with her foster pals. A potential adopter should have had some experience with puppy-mill type personalities before. HEALTH:Mindy Soo is in good health. I think he would feel most comfortable with one or two other dogs to be buds with. HEALTH: Zorro has been neutered, micro-chipped, heart worm tested and is up to date on all of his shots. Those days came to an end when we rescued Amber so she can live the rest of her life as a pampered pet. INFORMATION: Amber is a 7 year old sweetheart....don't let her white face fool you, she's got a lot of energy and plays like a pup! Amber is on the shy side, but she is eager to please. She does use potty pads, and she is shy of using stairs to go in and out, but is working on that fear. She loves to be outside, but would need to be picked up and carried out if there are steps involved. Amber will get a little nervous about being picked up, but if you kneel down and let her "work out" that nervous energy, she will slide up into your arms for lifting. Amber loves treats and is learning to take them from your hand. She thinks peanut butter is the bomb, and you will make a fast friend if you share it with her. She is learning to wear a harness but hasn't worked on walks yet. A fenced yard would be the best for her. She does well with other small dogs, she is curious about cats, but doesn't chase. She has made a cat friend at her foster home and will greet him when he comes for a visit. Amber would do well in a calm, quiet environment . She would benefit from the company from another small dog or two. She does get nervous with new situations but she does adapt.
