Chuka (MN) [more info]

Name: Chuka (MN)DOB: 2/3/2005 Adoption Donation: $200.00 Current foster location: Minnesota Date Posted: 8/4/2012 You must complete our online application if you are interested in adopting this fur-kid! Please visit www.luvachinrescue.org for our application! INFORMATION: Chuka has been in his foster home less than a month and is a shy boy. He is getting along well but still a little wary of all the new things. I am sure with a little more time he will become adjusted to his new life. Chuka has a very pretty full coat, and likes to spend time outdoors. So far he gets along well but is not real social with the rest of his foster buddies. He tolerates them but is a bit of a loner. His foster mom calls him ChuChu and is trying to give him lots of attention so he grows more confident. Update: 1/25/13: Chuka does not like to have his picture taken, he’s a little camera shy. He is a sweet boy who is still somewhat shy, but does like individual attention. Chuka gets along with the doggies, but had a bad experience with a gang of boys a long time ago (NOT HERE), so he seems to prefer gal pals. He is a little protective of his space but lately I have seen him curled up in a dog bed with other fur babies. He is such a good boy and deserves to have a special home of his own. HEALTH: Good!! Chuka is current on all vaccination, micro-chipped & neutered. Are you ready for me to join your family? If you have any questions, please contact Joanne at info@luvachinrescue.org and if you think that you would like me to come and live with you, the first step in the adoption process is to fill out an adoption application which can be found on our website: luvachinrescue.org. These folks here want me to have a special loving home so you will need to provide personal and vet references as well as have a home visit before I can come and live with you. My adoption donation is $200.00, and personally I think I'm worth every penny. Due to assessment evaluation, they would like me to stay in foster care for a minimum of 2 weeks to help me get ready for my new family. I will be allowed to travel out of state so don't be afraid to ask about me (please note: we must follow the airline restrictions on temps so please be aware of that, any costs associated with travel will be your responsibility). I would love to have a special person to love me. See you soon..... NOTE: All our adoption donations go towards our ever mounting vet bills. Thank you for your support. We are also, always, looking for more foster homes. The more foster homes we have, the more dogs we can help THANK YOU! PLEASE Note! ADOPTION DONATIONS: When you see the adoption donation amounts, we'd like you to know that 90% of the time the donation amount doesn't even come close to covering our kid's doctor bills. This is definitely not a money-making venture. We're usually so far in the hole but the important thing is to get these kids the medical care they need and help them find the perfect family. That's our top priority. POTTY TRAINING: Please note that we NEVER say our kids are 100% potty-trained. How naive would we be to say something like that? If you're willing to be trained by your new family member, please fill out an application. If you're looking for a totally potty-trained kid, you may as well stop at the toy store on your way home from work and buy a stuffed toy because those are the only reliable ones to NOT potty in your home. There is a period of adjustment, not just for the new family member but for everyone in the house. You must be patient, understanding, and willing to work with your new family member. It can take anywhere from several days to several months. You must be 100% committed to this, it's a lifetime commitment.

He is as sweet as can be and gets along just fine with other small dogs. But we've heard this little guy is not very good with cats (too fun to chase) and gets a bit of a Napolean complex with larger dogs. Bubba is so easy to have around the house and is very quiet.
